The newest Disney Vacation Club facility will feature "Moana's Voyage", a water playground for kids, along with four tropical gardens themed to Polynesian islands.
Newly released concept art gives us our first clear look at the kids water playground coming to Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Way back in April 2022, we got a preview of the outrigger structure and speculated on the link to the popular Disney animated film. The artwork is light on details, but shows water jets shooting up from the ground in a section of the pool complex surrounded by shade trees, lounge chairs and umbrellas.
The newly-dubbed Cove Pool is also set to include a sand beach and whirlpool spa. Cove Pool joines the Lava Pool--with its 142 foot water slide--and Oasis Pool, all three of which are available to guests at the Polynesian resort.
Elsewhere, Island Tower guests will be able to enjoy four tropical garden terraces throughout the resort. Previously referred to as "pocket gardens", these outcroppings in the building (above) will serve as small lounges exclusively for the use of Island Tower guests. Each terrace will be uniquely themed to reflect the flora and artwork of Polynesian islands. Included are Bora Bora, Hawai'i, Samoa and Fiji. Two of the gardens face the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom theme park while the other two are on the opposite side of the building overlooking the Oak Trail and Magnolia golf courses.
Island Tower is scheduled to open on December 17, 2024. Point charts have yet to be released. Details regarding new point purchase and reservations in Island Tower are expected to be revealed "in the coming months."
